Marais is a singer-songwriter who performs solo and with the band Haight
Ashbury. He co-wrote the top ten hit by Snow, ‘Everybody Wants To
Be Like You’ and received a SOCAN award in November 2000 for the hit
single which reached number one on MuchMusic and MuchMoreMusic. He was nominated
for a JUNO AWARD in the songwriting category for ‘Everybody Wants
To Be Like You’.
